My excitement is overflowing since in a few days, I’ll be going out of town again. I was invited to be a resource person for a community-based seminar in Cebu City on responsible citizenship and personhood. The same organization invited me last month to become a participant for a trainors’ training and now, I am going to be part of their pool of trainors who will reach out to a group of young Cebuanos.
Just like the last time, this trip will be a partly work and partly vacation, an exciting mixture. I am sure I will tremendously enjoyed the trip as I did during our seminar held in Iloilo City. This is going to be my second plane ride and my first visit to Cebu so I’m overwhelmed. This is going to be a perfect weekender! I look forward to meeting Cebuanos too and experience teaching and learning with their group. I wanted to brush up too on some of the Visayan words I learned from my trip to Iloilo.
Hopefully, my trip would be enjoyable, not only to me, but also to those people I will encounter in Cebu City. I hope I’d be able to share more than what I’d learn from them. It’s a wonderful opportunity to meet people from other places within the country. Who knows, if I’m lucky enough, I’d even get the chance to be invited as a reource person in trainings somewhere outside of the Philippines like North Carolina’s Outer Banks, a big dream which I would pray hard over to happen. That would be the day really!
I just hope the heavy rain would stop before Friday so our group going to Cebu would find our trip enjoyable, most especially, the plane trip. Gotta pray for this. Any suggestion where to go and what to eat in Cebu?
