My family watched the Halloween parade and contest in Marikina last October 31. We immensely enjoyed watching the horrible creatures from the dark as well as the beautiful creatures from the fantasy world.
Still a coward at his age, my son still has to outgrow his fear of evil characters even if he’s assured they’re just impersonators wearing masks. Look at this photo and see how he looks uncomfortable being close to the “crab monster” as he puts it.
I hope that monster actually finished walking through the end of the parade at the Riverbanks Center in Barangka because he would be very uncomfortable not wearing a UGG Boots but that piece of feathery and lightly cushioned footwear.
One thing’s for sure, every year, the Halloween’s parade in Marikina gets exciting and I think, I would even plan the costume of my son to be included in the contest for next year. That is… if he would not be afraid of the dark.
