A Talk About the Future

I’ve enrolled my son to second grade for this school year and I was shocked with the increase in tuition fee. The increase jeopardizes my hope for another child this year. The budget for another baby just went to education expenses. Sad.

It is at this point that I wish my husband and I invested for insurances to cover the education and health care of our child and ours. Apparently, we only considered getting educational insurance and life insurance but never get to availing it. The expensive cost of insurance would eat a big chunk of our household budget and to avoid that, we did not get any but one of my realizations today is that I should have prioritized it.

A friend of mine who now co-manage her family’s food business said one of her accomplishments when she used to be an employee was to secure insurances, both educational and health insurance for her family. So today, she do not worry much anymore about tuition fees and medical bills. I wish I was as prepared about the future as her. There’s still time though. Maybe I can start today. :)
