13 Oct 2008 A Taste of Razon’s Legendary Halo-Halo

Most pinoys love halo-halo. This is a truly Filipino dessert treat. In our place in Marikina, there are two restaurants serving super delicious halo-halo — Boyong’s at San Roque for only P25.00; and 3 E’s and Moms at SSS Village, more expensive at P60.00 per serving.

Sometime ago, I noticed that the infamous Razon’s Halo-Halo has branched out in Araneta, Cubao. Since then, I’ve promised myself its-a-must that I try it. When my friend Rizza asked me to accompany her to Gateway in Cubao, we had our dinner at Razon’s. We ordered Sizzling Steak Bulalo (beacause it looked so good in their poster, puto and dinuguan, and of course, their mouth-watering halo-halo.

The bulalo steak was very delicious, diet pills intake is recommended for me. The dinuguan is okay, a so-so because it is delicious but not outstanding. The halo-halo is remarkable, there were only fourĀ  ingredients — macapuno, leche plan, sweet banana and sweet potatoes. There is a creaminess in the ice or in the milk that made the halo-halo special, it is worth tasting.

For those who wanted a taste of Razon’s, their Cuabo branch is located in front of teh Araneta Center beside Bacolod Inasal and KFC.
