How to Disable Hyperpromote.com Pop Ads in Your Blog Site?

For a while now, I have noticed that at times, a “Hyperpromote.com” pop-under ad would suddenly come to life. This is really annoying as first, I do not know the source of the ad which I thought at first to be a virus, and second, because it may discourage my visitors from going over my sites.

So, I did my research over the net and realized that my hyperpromote ad issue is not an isolated case. Bloggers have been researching and writing about the unwanted pop ads. The culprit? Bidvertiser.

Bidvertiser is a lot like Google Adsense which offers revenue sharing through placement of pay-per-click ads. Through other blogs, I learned that once you join Bidvertiser and place their ads, by default, you have allowed the website to put in your sites hyperpromote pop-under ads which would appear in your site once a day. I decided I don’t want the “higher conversion rate and pay” promise by the ad company by using pop ads so I’ve disabled it instantly.

For those who wanted to do it, here’s how to remove that annoying hyperpromote pop-under ads:

Log in to your Bidvertiser account.
Go to Publishers Center.
Way below, you will see your ads, select one ad first, then click Preferences button.
A new window will open, look for the question “Display Pop-Under Ads?” Select No.
Do the same for other ads in your account.

Now, we can both be pop ads free! Finally.

My Closest Ferrari Experience

I have always admired the Ferrari as a child. I loved its red color, shiny body and unique built. When I was older, I learned that it’s a powerful car and I loved it all the more.

The Ferrari Cars are basically sports cars which are first manufactured in Italy in 1929. It costs so much that if you own one, you wouldn’t want to use other parts but the certified genuine Ferrari parts and accessories. You wouldn’t want your Ferrari to be tainted with fake parts, don’t you? I wouldn’t, if I have one.

But my dream of having a Ferrari has already been fulfilled when Shell Gas Station had Ferrari cars as part of their promotional campaign to customers. I did everything I can to buy the collection and I’m keeping it for good.

When I was younger and still single, I used to buy things that I like without thinking of how much it would cost me. But having a family of my own has taught me a lot of things. One of them is saving.

Whenever I buy anything nowadays, I would always look for stuff that would cost me less money but would still look the way I wanted it to be and most importantly… it has to be of best quality.

That is why when my husband told me that our living room floor tiles need to be replaced, I had to think more than twice. We have no budget for tiles right now so I have to look for an alternative that would not cost that much but will still solve the problem.

While I was surfing the net, I saw the discount laminate flooring. They have the tile laminate flooring that really looks like a ceramic tile but are easier to install and comes with a discounted price. I told myself, I ought to try that.

A Fan for Life

I fancy big, modern and well-decorated homes. I have always dreamed of having one myself and probably I can have one in the future. That is why I always love taking trips and visiting model houses. I get different ideas on how to decorate houses and the different motifs that they use.

One thing I have observed in all the houses that I visited is the presence of a fan. I cannot recall a single house I visited that did not have a fan even in one room. That is what made me look for different fan models and came across the Casablanca fans. These fans come in different colors, designs and sizes. They have fans even larger than 52 inches and small ones too.

You can always choose the fan that would suit the size of your room and the motif that you are going to use. The thing I loved most about it is that it comes with a very cute remote control. These fans also look very durable and I think they could last a life time.

Google Adsense Now Serving Ads from Other Networks

A few days ago, Google Adsense released the latest news about its ad serving scheme for bloggers and website owners and developers. It was a welcome development which would allow multiple Google-certified ad networks to compete for display ad space.

Initially, this new feature from Adsense will be available for publishers located in North America and Europe only but I believe it will be soon available to publishers from Asia and other countries as well.

This advertising strategy will allow ad networks to compete for display ad space in the publishers’ site which would mean more ads will be eligible to appear on target pages. This would lead to potential higher earnings eventually. The scheme is called the Adwords program.

The good thing is the publisher would still be in control in either allowing or blocking ad networks to serve ads in his/her site(s) by going to the Ad Review Center in his/her account dashboard.

This new scheme from Google Adsense is another way of earning money for websites through ads but in order for the publisher to generate visits and clicks from visitors, the website owner must establish and popularize his website first through SEO works or search engine optimization. One effective tactic is to submit sites to free directory submission programs.

Internet Anywhere

More and more people’s lives are now dependent on internet. I am. When I go out of town and cannot go online for a few days, or even for a day, I feel that I’ve missed a lot and its true. A day cannot pass without my checking my online accounts or visiting my social networks.

Indeed, internet connection is a must-have for me, the reason why I have postpaid and prepaid broadband connectivity kits. Now that I’ve decided to focus more on blogging, I would definitely need to consider getting a Linksys router so I can access internet connection anywhere inside our house so I can work more conveniently.

First things first though, I need to get a new laptop before worrying about getting online. My old reliable dekstop computer was destroyed by the flood so I need a new one to get me going. That I have to raise big money for. Any suggestions?

Choosing the Best Web Host

Very soon, breathtechnology.com will have some major overhaul. I recently purchased a new hosting for this blog from my old friend’s hosting. During the process of migrating this blog, I would take the opportunity to improve its layout and design and other functionality, just like how I did it with my other blog marikenya.com.

Developing a blog has always been an exciting challenge for me. I love choosing a new wordpress theme and customizing it to suit my style. I’m very glad Neil, my blogger friend who influenced me into blogging, taught me how to use Core FTP for installing plugins, themes and uploading photos and editing files.

For a while, Neil accommodated my self-hosted wordpress blog in his hosting. It took me some time to actually look for a new webhost and transfer my blog. Since I haven’t talked to my blog master Guru, Neil, I just chose a small webhost company recommended by a friend. Neil scolded me for choosing this one because he’s not familiar with it and its services. He then told me he’s going to transfer his blogs (more than 10 of them), to a new webhost which he carefully chose. This hosting company is a big one with a good marketing scheme and known for its services, the Hostgator. This hosting charges more than my new hosting but my friend wanted a stable and more prominent company managing his blogs.

Hosting power our blogs and we need to choose a dependable one so our blog won’t experience downtimes which may cause readership or advertisers’ loss. Blogging is so much fun so long as you do things right. Don’t worry too if you don’t know a lot of things, it’s really alright. I’ve been blogging for a year now and learned a lot too but there are so many technical stuff about blogging that still gives me headache and leads to nosebleeding.
