Christmas parties have already started this week. There are department parties, company parties, friends parties and parties with relatives.

The other day, me and my friends spent almost 5 hours in the mall looking for accessories that we will be using for our company party on Friday while my other friend is still looking for something to wear to the party. I bought a pair of earrings, bangles and fishnet thights while one of my friends bought a bottle of hair dye and false eyelashes.

We were so excited that we didn’t notice that we’ve already spent too much for this party alone. Well, it only happens once a year anyway.

Christmas Shopping

There are only 18 days to left before Christmas. It’s barely 3 weeks and people are rushing to malls buying gifts for their loved ones.

Yesterday, I was in the mall looking for things to buy for my friends and relatives. I was just walking and looking at things while thinking of the perfect gift for each one of them when I reached the formal dress section. I was impressed with the pretty dresses and remembered my high school days. I remember the time when me and my friends were choosing our prom dresses. Time really passes by so fast.

Staying Beautiful the Natural Way

Our company Christmas Party is getting near that’s why me and my friends were already talking about what we’re going to wear.

This year’s theme is Retro ’60s and ’70s. We searched the net for the most fashionable retro dress that we want to wear to the party and of course we are already visualizing what make up we should wear on that night. One of my friends is worrying about the big pimple that unfortunately popped out on her forehead but someone advised her to use tea tree oil. They say that it is the best natural way of healing pimples since it has terpenoids, which have been found to have antiseptic and antifungal capability.

We have nothing to worry about now, we’ll just wait for the party date to come and we are very sure that we will enjoy that night.

Another Talented Filipino Made It Big In France

A Filipino couple won the 4th edition of the international competition Talents de Mode 2010 in Paris, France. Anthony Tentativa, a native of Catbalogan, Samar and Sharon Benson, a native of Bicol are the designers of the label, Les Tentativas Women RTW which won he grand prize.

They were awarded 5000 euros, workshop within Village des Créateurs, in Lyon for two years, an accompaniment for their economic development by Village des Créateurs and a booth at the Paris fashion fair Prêt-à-porter, early 2011.

Get Together With Friends

Last night, my friends and I had a chance to meet again after a long time. We visited one of our friend’s mother who was hospitalized due to palpitations.

While we were waiting for my friend’s husband to pick us up, we had a chance to kid around and talk about different things. One of the topics we had was winning the lottery since the pot has reached more than 300 Hundred Million Pesos already. We talked about what we will do if we win. The first thing we said was go shopping, buy lots of clothes, shoes, bags and accessories. The second was to undergo a liposuction surgery. We’re all ladies and all of us are so keen on finding real ways on how to get fit and fabulous. Some of us even tried fat burning drugs like Lipofuze and the like.

We really enjoyed our short night together, though I hope we will be meeting on a more pleasant occasion next time.

They say that diamonds are forever. Nowadays, diamonds are not only worn as a ring… they are also used to adorn mobile phones and lingerie.

Adriana Lima recently showed off Victoria Secret’s latest masterpiece. A glittering bra which was encrusted with 142 carats of white diamonds, topazes and sapphires. The bra is worth $2 million dollars. This was created by Victoria Secret in collaboration with Italian jeweler Damiani.

I don’t see why people would buy and actually wear a 2 million-dollar bra but I must say that I admire its beauty.

Pink and Feminine Mobile Phone

I was looking at the latest mobile phone models yesterday in a mall since I am thinking of replacing my three-year old mobile phone. I was thinking that this would be an early Christmas present that I can buy for myself.

Something Pink and stylish caught my eye. When i took a closer look, it was a Nokia C3 mobile phone. I really love the color so I decided to ask for the specifications of this phone. The C3′s screen measures 2.4 inches and has a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels with 262,144 color display. It has built-in music player and FM radio, and has a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack slot.

The phone is likewise WiFi and Bluetooth ready with GPRS/EDGE only and no 3G for mobile internet connectivity. It comes in three different colors: hot pink, slate gray and golden white. I really want the hot pink C3!

Geeks love technology, that’s a fact. But a geek mom like me loves fashion too. This new concept of bluetooth headset called Pillete is an answer to my quest to mix technology and fashion.

This bluetooth headset is very small and almost invisible to the eyes of other people. It won’t ruin your outfit or make you look like a call center agent walking down the street. The only hesitation for me to use this is that other people might think that I’m talking to myself and I’m nuts.

Preparing For A Good Night Sleep

Being a very busy mom, I do my regular work in day time and some other things at night. In addition, I have to cater to the needs of my son and my husband.

There are some days when I had to attend meetings way after work time and I end up getting home late and tired. This would lead to only two things… it’s either I would end up very tired and would be able to sleep as soon as I lay down in bed or I would end up awake till midnight.

But nevertheless, I cannot do away with my preparations before going to bed. First thing I do when I get home (after seeing to it that my son is well) is to rest a bit, raise my bare feet on top of a small table, while my back is comfortably against the back of the sofa. I will then take a warm bath, carefully rubbing my arms and legs. After drying up, I would take care of my face and dry my hair. Then I would choose the most comfortable piece of lingerie that I have in my closet.

That is when I would finally lay down in bed and retire for the day.
