Camera For All Kinds of Weather

Rainy days are about to come here in the Philippines. It is sometimes unavoidable to get wet when traveling around, especially when the rain is accompanied by strong winds.

I carry a camera wherever I go since I need to document most of the things that I do. That is the reason why an all-weather camera suits my need.

I got really excited when I saw this Sanyo Xacti CA100, a waterproof Full HD Dual Camera. It comes in three (3) different colors, black, pink and yellow. It can be used in the rain and while swimming in the pool.
It can also be used while doing indoor and outdoor sports activities.

Preparing For A Good Night Sleep

Being a very busy mom, I do my regular work in day time and some other things at night. In addition, I have to cater to the needs of my son and my husband.

There are some days when I had to attend meetings way after work time and I end up getting home late and tired. This would lead to only two things… it’s either I would end up very tired and would be able to sleep as soon as I lay down in bed or I would end up awake till midnight.

But nevertheless, I cannot do away with my preparations before going to bed. First thing I do when I get home (after seeing to it that my son is well) is to rest a bit, raise my bare feet on top of a small table, while my back is comfortably against the back of the sofa. I will then take a warm bath, carefully rubbing my arms and legs. After drying up, I would take care of my face and dry my hair. Then I would choose the most comfortable piece of lingerie that I have in my closet.

That is when I would finally lay down in bed and retire for the day.

House Votes for Rep. Belmonte

Having elected a new President of the Philippines and a new set of congressmen, I am eager to know who the new House Speaker would be.

Since today is the 1st Session of the Congress of the Philippines, they have to vote for a Speaker of the House. The session started at 10 a.m. with Secretary General Marilyn Badua Yap presiding over the proceedings.

Out of the 258 House members in attendance, 237 voted for Quezon City Representative Feliciano Belmonte, Jr. as the new House Speaker. He won against Albay Representative Edcel Lagman.

I got a call from my sister early this morning. She was asking me for specifications since she is going to buy a new computer for my nieces and nephews.

Me, being a geek mom, told her to just choose from among the latest netbooks available in the market. I convinced her that it is more practical than buying a desktop computer since you can bring it anywhere and use it whenever you can.

They are even less expensive as compared to laptops and definitely lighter. I guess she’s now out there looking for a model that would suit them.

My Friend’s Housewarming

A friend of mine had her house blessed during the weekend. I was one of the guests who came and saw her very beautiful house.

I was really amazed with all the modern furniture that she ordered from other countries. The house looks so elegant yet homey. The decorations and furniture are so comfortable that you would love to stay inside the house as long as you can.

I can’t help but dream of having the same home furnishings as she does. It is really like a dream home for me.

Theft Free Mobile Phone

Mobile phone theft is very common nowadays. It is so disheartening to think that you have been saving money every payday to afford your dream mobile phone and then after a few days some goons would just steal them away from you.

So, when I saw this cute little phone in the mall one day, I wasn’t able to resist the urge to buy it. It looks like a calculator (a cute one though) and it has call and text features. Just what a simple phone should be able to do. It also has an alarm clock and of course, a calculator!

It is so small that you can put it in your pockets after texting or calling. It’s so affordable that you can buy them for your kids to bring with them to school without worrying that it will be stolen. This Cherry Mobile P1i is only P999.00… I don’t see any reason why a theft would want to steal it from you.

Laughter is Still the Best Medicine

I remember years back when some Indian nationals came to our workplace to teach us how to induce laughter. It feels kind of silly at first having to laugh eventhough nothing is funny but as minutes pass by… laughing became easier and more natural.

After a few minutes of non-stop laughter, I noticed that I felt better. It is definitely a natural way of relieving stress. It is such a good practice that I even wrote the word “smile” as a welcome message on my mobile phone. So whenever I open my phone, I’ll see that welcome message and can’t help but smile even just a bit.

Laughter doesn’t only relieve stress, it also does good to your physical appearance. I noticed that people who laughs easily doensn’t have to look for the best anti aging supplements because they already look good and feel good. So, smile and laugh whenever you can!

Gadgets are getting smaller everyday… I have watched mobile phones’ transformation from really big phones to very small and light ones.

I have also seen computers and laptops getting smaller and lighter. But this one is a gadget that I really would love to have… the iMo Mini-Monster Touch 10-inch USB touchscreen monitor.

It looks so classy and very handy. You can hold it on your palm but it also has a simple fold-out stand for desktop display. It’s really a must to have this gadget.
