Dieting and Holiday Feasts

In one of the online forums I went to, the discussion was about how sinful eating Philippine food are, especially the ones being served at Fiestas or feasts. To think that I just posted pictures of lechons which is a a very popular edible adornment piece on the table of Pinoy households during festivities like Christmas and New Year.

This morning, I received another email from a nice reader of my other blog. He was telling me about this dieting scheme called ADD or alternate a day dieting. It’s interesting because this is the first time I heard about it.

The procedure for ADD dieting is as follows:
on the first day you eat what you want but never exceeds your calorie intake (most of our
–> calorie intake is 12 times our weight in pounds.so if you are 130 you are allowed to take
1560 calories)
–> on the second day you take at least half of 1560 calories or less
–> repeat the cycle

It seem possible but I’m not sure I can count on myself on counting calories I do take. The very reason my weight blew out of proportion in the last years. I guess as always, dieting the natural way is not very advisable for me, I’m more prone to taking best weight loss pill supplements to easily shoo away additional fats I will gain from the holidays.
