Different Weight Loss Techniques

Being overweight, I would say I have already tried different ways of losing weight since I was a teenager. I was an insecure youngster because of my body size. I hated being fat but ironically, I still am fat.

Although I have developed my self-esteem through the years, obesity is still a health issue. Because of this, I tried different methods to lose weight. One of the very first ones I tried when I was younger was the popular method of reducing food intake. After some time however, I stopped it because of my love for good food. I then turned to self-provoked vomiting to get rid of food I’ve eaten. My family never had any idea that after eating, I would go to the comfort room to vomit the food I just splurged on. According to a study, occasional vomiting is a weight control technique widespread among women between the ages of 15 and 35. I was nineteen at that time and was in-love with a handsome boy. Losing weight is my way of keeping him since I thought he would leave me if I would stay oversize.

Another weight loss strategy I tried was taking of diet pills. It was easy, fast and effective way of losing weight and I really liked it. In less than a week, I lost about ten (10) pounds. The side effect though was I experienced fast palpitations of the heart, sort of like having a heart attack. I then heard about negative feedback about some brands of diet pills such as the hydroxycut reviews. It is always better to check out the brand you are using first before taking it so as not to experience any health problems.

About some years ago, I tried going to the gym too. I enrolled in a fitness gym close to my workplace and go directly there for a two-to-three times a week workout. To my surprise, I actually enjoyed the experience and would even look forward to gym time. After a month though, my motivation faded and I felt I am just too tired to go to the gym anymore plus I accepted some after office sidelines. I became too busy and eventually stopped going to the gym.

At thirty three, I still am problematic about my weight. I have tried different weight loss techniques and strategies to lose weight and some of them worked for some time. The issue is really motivation and will. There are techniques you can employ which works easily but beware of potential dangers such as using diet pills or undergoing surgery such as liposuction.
