For months now, I’ve been dreaming of having an inexpensive home makeover. Our house was devastated by the killer typhoon which hit Marikina and other towns last September of 2009.
We already did a cleanup but we have not done repainting or upgrading of house furniture which soaked in flood and mud. Its sorry state would always make me feel stressed and I would rather go to the mall on weekends instead of staying at home to rest.
What we did was to purchase some new furniture like dining table and sofa set to replace the old ones. We also changed the order of things and decided on a zen theme for the house which is very relaxing. We also improved the home ventilation since in the last weeks, we experienced in Metro Manila, and probably in the whole Philippines, terrible hot weather.
The makeover proved to be very worthwhile. It gave us more family bonding moments at home.
