While I despise Globe Telecom Philippines for its unsatisfactory customer and technical services, I was please when I received a P15 free load from them yesterday.
The free load service was their “peace offering” for the ordeal their prepaid subscribers experienced last weekend. Their system malfunctioned of some sort and cellphone prepaid loading services was unavailable for almost three (3) days. Can you imagine that? Globe prepaid subscribers were panicky for not being able to load their mobile phones for days.
This was the text message (in Filipino) which I received from Globe:
Advisory: Noong weekend, maaaring isa kayo sa ilang nahirapang bumili ng load. Paumanhin po sa posibleng abala. Nag-load kami ng FREE P15 sa inyong account, patunay na kayo ay mahalaga sa amin.
translation in English: Last weekend, you may be one of those who experienced difficulty buying load. We apologize for the inconvenience. We loaded P15 in your account, a proof of how important you are to us.
The fifteen pesos load is not sufficient for the stress and other negative feelings and probably, negative outcome, of last week’s loading problems with Globe. In a way though, I felt this is a nice move for them to make amendments with their pestered subscribers. An act they did not do when I filed multiple complaints against their unforgivable services.
