What would you consider when buying a laptop? Will you consider the brand? What about the features? Are you the type who would put high importance to looks or the physical attributes of the laptop? Will you rely on the reviews of blogs on the popular laptops in the internet?
Laptops are getting more and more popular these days. People are getting dependent on mobile technology and laptop is becoming an important tool to those who wanted to always be in touch through the internet as well as those who wanted to journal everything that goes around.
It was barely a couple of months ago when I started using my very first laptop. It was an old one, a hand-me-down from a boss. It was simply an inexpensive Neo, quite “problematic”as my boss used to describe it. Using my ability with computers, I reformatted it, installed the right software, put my special touches like my really kikay green and pink laptop sleeves, and voila! The simple laptop turned into something very useful and attractive. It is now my life, one I depend on to do my work and one that I depend on for my other works like graphic designing and blogging.
I never thought I would replace my old desktop. I made a decision way back then that I’d remain a desktop PC fan. I love the efficiency of my desktop especially when I’m designing using Adobe Photoshop. Laptop memory capacities are very limited and those laptops with good memories are actually too expensive, way too expensive for my type.
Since I was handed a laptop which my choice was to refuse or accept, I was not given an option to choose my laptop based on my style. What do I mean by “my style?” Hmmm… let me answer my own questions on top of this post. If ‘m going to choose my very own laptop, I would select one considering all the categories I’ve mentioned –features (very important), attractiveness (I am kikay remember?), and I would also read a lot of reviews by tech bloggers about the strengths and weaknesses of the laptop so I won’t be suprised with its flaws.
Of course, an ideal laptop is one that is “full-packed.”One with great specifications that you need not bring a lot of electronic gadgets because most of them are already built-in. My ideal notebook of course is one with a good laptop memory and another slot for an extra hard disk, USB drives (as in a lot), WiFi (of course! a laptop is outdated without this!), memory card slot, camera with a good-enough resolution for capturing moments, and a speaker with loud and good enough-sound.
Have I found my ideal laptop? Find out next time, make sure you subscribe to the feeds.
