The siomai seller from Batangas who mesmerized Pinoys with his golden voice is now the first Pinoy Got Talent (PGT) grand winner of ABS-CBN channel 2!
Jovit Baldivino stole the hearts of PGT texters primarily because of his raw singing talent but professionally sounding voice which sounds like
recording from a radio. The next factor for his winning I believe is his heartwarming story as a poor boy who sells siomai to help feed his family.
Jovit is among the many Filipino talents who used to be anonymous but are now given the chance to become famous artists because of the numerous television talent shows today. PGT is among my few favorite talent shows, along with it is Talentadong Pinoy of TV5 and Showtime of ABS-CBN2. I like shows which features extremely talented dancing pinoys in different routines, those dancing folk and cultural dances or those in hip hop clothes or funky attires.
I am glad these ordinary people with talents are given chances to experience limelight and success.
