
This is really a good read, a recent news and reminder from consumerreports.org on how to protect Facebook users from identity thieves and hackers who are lurking around this popular social networking site to get ideas on how to steal financial and banking information.
Consumerreports.org remind users about the seven (7) things users should stop doing at Facebook:
1. Do not use a weak password.
2. Do not leave your full birth date in your profile.
3. Check your privacy settings.
4. Do not post your child’s name in a caption or allow him/her to be tagged in a photo.
5. Do not mention you’ll be away from home.
6. Do not let search engines find you.
7. Do not forget youngsters to use Facebook unsupervised.
Out of these seven “facebook don’ts,” I am guilty of doing everything on the list so the first thing I did after reading this article is manage my Facbook account to make my identity safer. To read the full article, click this.
