The Best Job in the World is for a Blogger!

An Australian State is  currently in search of applicants for what they call the “best job in the world.”

Why the best  job? It offers top salary and for what — for lazing around a heaven, a tropical island and for full six months! If you don’t call that the job of a lifetime, I don’t know what is!

The Queenland’s State Government announced that the location is the Hamilton Island on the Great Barrier Reef and the pay is 150,000 Australian dollars or 105,000 US dollars or almost P5M in Philippine currency! Wow!

The successful applicant also won free airfare to the island from his hometown or country of origin and is expected to do the best things in life — stroll along the white sands, snorkel the reef and provide a weekly blog that diaries and provides photo and video updates of the beauty of the island and his adventures.

The life of the winner would be very comfortable in the island as he would be provided a rent-free three-bedroom beach home complete with plunge pool and golf buggy.

Would it be easy to get this job? If you are a good swimmer with excellent oral and written communication skills in English, you can go try and win your way to this dream job.

Queensland’s  objective  in putting up this campaign is “to protect the state’s 18 billion Australian dollar a year tourism industry during the tough economic climate caused by the global financial meltdown.” This is a new tourism  strategy that may save and  popularized the island.

Thanks a lot for your well written article. But I had difficulty navigating around your website as I kept getting 502 bad gateway error. Just thought to let you know.
