The LPG Scarcity in the Philippines

For some nights now, I keep on seeing the issue on LPG scarcity in the news.  The public suspects that LPG marketers are hoarding this commodity so they can raise the price, a familiar scene with the rice shortage.

In a way, I never thought that such crisis would affect the household level. I realized it is such a catastrophe this morning when our LPG blacked out. My husband and my brother wasted the whole afternoon looking for metrogas distributor that would sell one for us to no avail. We cooked our breakfast and lunch using the natural way, with charcoal since we don’t have an electric stove.

It was late in the afternoon when my husband finally found a metrogas distributor that sold us a tank and in a far away place from our area. All the while, the hype about LPG scarcity sunk and I realized, it was real, pissingly real.
