As a mother, on top of my list of priorities is providing a clean and safe environment for my child. However, I cannot completely ensure this as I cannot control where my child go twenty four hours a day. But at least, I can try to make our home a safe and clean place for him.
During our trip to a summer vacation place some years back, my child has developed skin asthma. It was very scary for me as his face and almost all parts of his body turned red and blotchy and when treated left white scars and eczema-looking patches. He suffered from inferiority complex because of the skin problem.
As a mother, it was painful for me to see my son going through all those. I know I have to do something, I know I must protect him from the recurrence of the asthma. The dermatologist told me that our child is allergic to very cold or hot weather, dusts and other skin irritants that may trigger the skin problem. It was then I decided to look for air filters which help clean the air from airborne particles, dust and bacteria. I also ensured regular cleaning of the house.
These measures sure helped. While it’s true that parents cannot protect their children from harm all the time, at least we can make an effort to try to protect them most times which I did. Thanks to God.
