Thursday Parenting Thought

Being a busy parent makes you feel real guilty that you are not giving as much time to your child. This is what I am feeling today. I’ve been immensely engrossed in working in the last weeks, even at nightime and even on weekends. I hardly have time for a mother-son bonding. I maybe a good provider but seemingly, I’m beginning to become a lousy mother.

As a quick resolution, I am going to devote my weekend for my baby, I’ll make sure we’ll spend some quality time together this coming weekend. To all parents out there, I’d like to share with you this wonderful classic quote from William E. Blatz which pretty summed up what we need to know and remember about being parents:

“Affection without sentiment, authority without cruelty, discipline without aggression, humor without ridicule, sacrifice without obligation, companionship without possessiveness.”
