Traffic and Driving in the Philippines

This morning, I almost came late for an appointment. The traffic was heavy and disgusting which is a normal occurrence in the metro.

Two days back, my husband and I went to a satellite office of a government insurance company in Quezon City. It took us an hour to actually reach an area you will get to in less than five minutes if not for the traffic and far u-turn slots. Twice, we were almost hit by big buses storming the streets which drivers won’t stop until they hit something.

I really hope we’d get a car for our service. Right now, we always travel with a motorcycle which is not at all safe. Hopefully, before the end of the year, we’d be able to afford even a second-hand car in good running condition with roadside assistance plan to cover road emergency problems along the way. An important option for me who would become a first-time driver if ever we finally afford a car.
