Since I passed the licensure examination for teachers (LET) late last year, I already faced a dilemma. I have been a trainor for more than six years now and I have always loved conducting trainings for adults. It was late in 2007 when I finally decided I wanted to become a professional educator. I then took my 8 units in Continuing Professional Education (CPE) at a local college.
The learning experience I undergone during those one year of returning back to school was truly worth it. I never thought studying again would be so much fun especially since I already established within me genuine love for learning. Adding to that was the fact that my classmates were so much fun being matured and professionals from different field, studying, with or without textbooks, was easier for us as well as exciting.
After passing the LET, I am now confronted with a dilemma. I am now fond of a lot of things which I developed passion for in the last years and this includes Blogging. I was asked by a high-esteemed educator and a friend of mine if I’m going to drop my training profession and start my career in teaching in schools. I was speechless since I never thought of quitting my training career after passing the board which actually suit well with my blogging hobby since the time is quite flexible plus I learn so much from training I am able to impart more knowledge to my blog readers.
It is a difficult decision to make. Should or should I not drop training and become a full-pledge teacher? Will being a teacher allow me to continue my love for blogging? Would you help me see the light?
